These photographs are from the years 1966-77.

The paintings are from the early ’90s.

The photographs of the Vauxhall neighbourhood (Scotland Road) were taken during 1969-70 when I was making a documentary film called ‘Us and Them’.

The film is about the local community and the effects of the mass housing clearances, together with the demolition for the approach to the second Mersey tunnel (‘Kingsway’) which destroyed the old Scottie Road.
